Due to the current hiring restrictions affecting the New Zealand Health System, applications for employment will be assessed on a case by case basis.
HOW DOES IT ALL WORK?
If you're a health professional looking for permanent or temporary/casual work; you can register your interest to work with First Recruitment by clicking the link above and we will use your information, e.g. name and cell phone number, to contact you about the types of positions that you're interested in.
We'll then collect the necessary documentation to get you working and/or assist you with getting work ready -if you are not ready to work.
Mandatory documents include:
- Certified Identification
- Relevant Registration (we are available to assist with this process)
- Verified Qualifications
- Work rights (e.g. visa)
- Police check(s) (for New Zealand and any other relevant countries)
Once you are ready to work and are interested in a particular role, we will coordinate the process of securing the position for you. With such a demand for skilled healthcare professionals and your experience, there is a role for everyone.
Benefits of locum work:
- You set your own roster. You decide when & where you work and what work you do.
- You can expand your experience. Working in a different setting can give you insight and further your knowledge.
- You can earn an extra income. Currently working? You may still have the energy to pick up some extra shifts.
- You can help communities. Hospitals are over-capacitated at times and your availability can be life-changing.
For locums (casual and temporary contractors), all work related expenses including flights, rental cars/mileage and accommodation will likely be at the expense of the health institution you are working for unless otherwise stipulated. For permanent roles, allowances are according to the employment contract that you agree to.
When your work is complete we are available to assist with further functions and engagements.
Don't hesitate to get in touch with any queries about the registration and work process. We have dedicated agents who are trained to assist you.
